health tests

A specific test may be recommended to determine the root cause of your problems, but generally this is not necessary. Often just looking at your diet and lifestyle in detail may be sufficient to address and improve your health issues.

There are many health tests available, the most popular ones include:

Food Intolerance Testing

Digestive problems, fatigue, weight gain, anxiety, depression, insomnia and palpitations can all be associated with an intolerance to foods.

Add on the potential to affect the urinary, immune and respiratory systems of the body; the skin, muscles and also transform our moods, there is not much else left to complain about!

From a pin prick of blood, tests can be arranged to cover from 76 individual foods and groups to over 130.

There is also a simple Food Intolerance Indicator test available that will give a straight Yes/No answer to whether your blood reacts to food substances. The results from this should help you decide how you wish to explore the reasons for your health problems.

Please note that this is not a food allergy test.

Hair Mineral Analysis

Low energy and chronic fatigue, a poor immune system, osteoporosis, degenerating joints and fertility issues are all associated with mineral deficiency through an intake of foods grown in soil depleted of nutrients or even poor absorption of our intake of minerals.

Many minerals are present in the hair in higher quantities (up to 200 times greater!) than in the blood, so hair analysis can be a useful screening tool for assessing mineral status in the body.

Samples of hair are taken from the nape of the neck close to the scalp. Based on the results a review of diet and course of mineral supplementation may be recommended. .

Homocysteine Levels

A serious risk factor for heart disease is a high homocysteine level in the blood. Research shows that raised levels of homocysteine put you at far greater risk of heart disease than raised blood pressure, weight or even high cholesterol.

Your levels may be easily tested via a pin prick of blood, and imbalances corrected with balanced supplementation of vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid.

Adrenal Stress Test

Emotional, physical and chemical stress affect the body in the same way, and these affects are cumulative leading to some of the most common health complaints of the 21st century. This test may be applicable if you present the following symptoms:

stressful lifestyle attacks of acute anxiety
chronic inflammatory conditions chronic allergies
low energy and chronic fatigue insomnia
depression migraine, headache
hypertension eating
